Thank you for coming along to another successful Gala day!
The day commenced with Rev Ian Meredith, St Mary’s Church opening the Gala. He was then followed by TS Tenacity performing a wonderful marching performance from the Castle entrance into the arena. The atmosphere was fantastic and it was a great start to the day. Following on from TS Tenacity, the Aziza Egyptian Dance Group performed a sparkly and bright belly dancing performance. This year we had an exciting magician called Nick Magic join us for two performances. He put on a fantastic show and all the kids (and adults) enjoyed every minute of it! We also had performances from Evolution Majorettes, Everyone Active Gymnastics and Abstract Dance and Performing Arts. New to the Arena this year we had Jiggy Natalie join us from Jiggy Wrigglers and also Fareham division Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers. Finally to close the Arena, Fit N Funky performed a fun and active dance performance in which everyone joined in. It was lovely to see everyone join in and it created such a fun community spirit. Thank you to all the Arena acts, we had a brilliant day and couldn’t have done it without you all!
Along side the arena there was also lots of other activities and stalls. There was over 50 stall holders who came along, over 60 classic cars and a craft tent full of lots of homemade items. Also at the Castle again this year was the funfair which we hope everyone enjoyed!
Returning this year we had the Academy of Modern Canine Behaviour and Training join us. They provided a great dog show with various competitions. Congratulations to all the winners. We loved seeing all your dogs and we can’t wait to see you all again at next year’s Portchester Gala.
We would like to say a big thank you to Castle Estate Agents, and all the local traders who donated to the raffle. We sold over 1500 tickets and all proceeds fund the Christmas Tree and Lights in Portchester Precinct. Congratulations to all the winners.
