Another successful Gala!

After a very uncertain year, we are very pleased to have had another successful Gala. Unfortunately, due to restrictions we did have to postpone the event. Thankfully we got the go ahead to hold the event in September once the restrictions had lifted. We would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped out this year. The day was brilliant and we had the biggest turn out we’ve ever had.

Unfortunately we were unable to hold a parade this year however we had a very successful day with many great acts preforming in the arena. The event opened with a welcome and thanks by Rev Ian Meredith, St Mary’s Church, followed by Harbour Pipes and Drums. Following this, we had Fit N Funky, TS Tenacity NTC Band, a display from Everyone Active Gymnastics, Fareham district Scout Band, a display of aerial acrobatics and ground skills by Luna Acrobatics and a contemporary dance followed by Unicorn School from Theatre Arts UK.

Returning this year we had a fun dog show hosted by the Academy of Modern Canine Behaviour and Training. Congratulations to all the winners. We loved seeing all your dogs and we can’t wait to see you all again at next year’s Portchester Gala.

We would like to say a big thank you to Castle Estate Agents, and all the local traders who donated to the raffle. We couldn’t believe it when all raffle tickets sold by 1.30pm. All proceeds fund the Christmas Tree and Lights in Portchester Precinct. Congratulations to all the winners.

Thank you to our photographer Michael Bailey who managed to capture the day brilliantly in all his photos.

We hope to see you all again at next years Gala. If you would like to take part in the event, please call or email us.
