When?
The Portchester Christmas Lights Switch on is held annually on the 1st Friday of December.
The event runs between 5-6pm.
The lights are switched on at 5.10pm and is then followed by local choir performances.
Where?
Held at Portchester Precinct.
Attractions?
Switch on of Christmas lights, choir performances from local schools, adult choirs, bands, visit from Father Christmas, mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls.

Portchester Christmas Lights Switch on
Portchester Community Association organises the Christmas Lights Switch on event on behalf of Portchester Traders Association. The Portchester Christmas Lights Switch on 2020 was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. We are looking forward to the switch on event on Friday 3rd December 2021 which will have performances from local schools and groups The lights will be switched on by Pompey legend Alan Knight MBE at 5pm!
